an indoor version of the Hindi Holi Spring Festival. :-) cool video. A perfect choice for describing a pivotal moment. An earthquake after which nothing will just be quite the same it was before.
I can recall several "Satori" moments along my life, but there´s one that felt specially colourful inside `cause I could see how kind life was being at me, by paying me back with enlightenment in return for my meanness. Might not be the very crux of my life, but it made me a better person. So....
...I was 14 years old, last days of June, and I really wanted to make fun of my maths teacher, Manolo, whom we regarded as a simple, somehow dim-witted man. Our main teacher was sick and this kind and shy man came to substitute him for the time he was off sick. Well... Manolo was so soft-hearted that he managed to outflank the religion teacher giving A´s! Nobody failed maths that year! And of course, we couldn´t just be grateful to the universe and enjoy that unique opportunity to improve our marks report. No. We had to poke fun at him too.
So I walked up to him, and asked him for an autograph and to write something for the future on my notebook. I expected a load of bullshit I could later laugh at with my friends, but... the good-willed Manolo gave me a sentence that felt like an earthquake at that very moment, and I felt transformed on the spot.
"the mind is a fire to ignite, not a bowl to fill".
The humbleness cure did wonders to me and I am still thanking him today for the lesson.
You can ALWAYS learn something from ANYONE, and a book must never be judged by its cover.
